Nina Anderson Pape papers, 1857-1944.

This collection consists of personal papers, travel diaries, postcards, and an address book belonging to Nina Anderson Pape. Included are her European travel diaries, 1906-1924, her personal diaries including some information on Pape School and the early history of the Girl Scouts, and meeting notes from educators meetings in New York and Ohio. Also in the collection is a diary of Edward C. Anderson (Nina Pape's father), 1857-1860, containing notes on planting, household accounts, and plantation information.

Nina Anderson Pape (ca. 1870-1944) was born in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of Edward and Nina Anderson Pape. She first taught in the public schools in Savannah. In 1900, she and Alice West organized the Pape and West School, which later combined with the Haskell School to become the Haskell-Pape School.
